We share some healthy food to enjoy in the Holiday Season:
1. Pork: It is recommended to choose the lean part, such as the loin, for the main course. Cooked grilled or baked, it is a great source of iron, vitamins, minerals and many proteins.
2. Vegetables: Rich in vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and water. Can be used for fresh salads or cooked as a side dish garnish. It also helps to balance the excess of fat that is consumed during the holidays.
3. Turkey meat: Contains low fat and is very traditional at this time. Cooked in the oven can be a good choice for the main course.
4. Dehydrated fruits: They are the best option to accompany the dessert or to share before dinner. They all strengthen the immune system and prevent cell aging.
5. Nuts: They also work as an appetizer or part of a dessert. They have abundant amount of iron, minerals and polyunsaturated fat acids beneficial for health.
